Lust

I just received 44Flood's new art book, Lust. Featuring art by Ben Templesmith and Menton3 and stories by Steve Niles. The stories are intertwined perfectly with the incredible artwork. This is the second kickstarter project from 44Flood. If you get a chance, I would check it out. I looked forward to more projects like this in the future from 44Flood.

R&R Taqueria

The other day I had the pleasure of eating at R&R Taqueria. R&R Taqueria gained it's fame on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. Since then it has become a franchise. Recently they opened one in White Marsh, MD. This is probably the only place to get authentic mexican food in Baltimore county. The service and food were excellent.
I had the Al Pastor Huaraches and the beef tripe tacos. Al Pastor is a slow roasted mexican style pork. Both the Huaraches and the tripe tacos were delicous. So if you're in Baltimore county and in the mood for mexican. Stop by R&R Taqueria at 5005 Honeygo Center Dr. in White Marsh and enjoy.

When Star Wars goes alcoholic

What happens when Star Wars fans get drunk. A sculpture of R2-D2 made out of a beercan, wenches, and other junk found in a garage. Awesome...

Star Wars themed beers, it was bound to happen.

Tex Mex in Baltimore

Now there's no shortage of tex mex food in Baltimore, but there is a difference between good tex mex and great tex mex food. Recently my fiance took me to Carolina's Tex Mex in fells point on Broadway street. I'm not a big margarita drinker but they had the best frozen margarita I've ever had. The cheese pupusas were awesome and the tacos al pastor were to die for. It is a family run restaurant and the staff made you feel like you were part of the family. So if your in baltimore city looking for tex mex, I would check them out.http://www.carolinastexmex.com/
Oh and one other thing if your down by Carolina's Tex Mex, stop around the corner on Eastern ave. at Tortilleria Sinaloa and pick up some fresh made corn tortilla. They're hot, delicious, homemade, and cheap at $2.50 for about 30 tortillas.http://tortilleria-sinaloa.com/

Jack's Bistro

The bar
The dining room
The fantastic poutine
For me I think Jack's Bistro is probably the best restaurant in Baltimore. The atmosphere is something of a cross between a tiki bar and a hipster cafe. From the bedazzled walls of shag art to the friendly inviting staff, it's always a pleasant experience. The drink menu offers a wide selection of beers, wine, and inventive cocktails. While the food is interesting while being comforting, and always delicious. Personal favorites of mine our the steak frites and poutine. The steak is cooked using the sous vide method. Sous vide is when you cook in an airtight bag in a circulating water bath at a low temperature for a long period of time and then seared on the grill, so it's always tender and juicy. The poutine is heavenly, specially for someone like me who loves french fries. The poutine there is shoestring french fries with fresh cheese curds and a gravy made with foie gras on it. So if I were you I would check it out. http://www.jacksbistro.net/
